The Peter Mbah Continuity Group (PMCG) has intensified its statewide consultations and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 re-election bid of Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

The group made this known during a courtesy visit to the Enugu State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Chukwunwike Martin, where it formally introduced its leadership and structure to the party and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Governor’s administration and his re-election bid.

Led by its Director-General, Dr. Martilord Ifeanyichukwu, the delegation said PMCG had established structures across the 17 local government areas and 260 political wards of the state, with its mobilisation efforts cutting across youths, market women, artisans, traditional institutions and members of other political parties.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Martilord highlighted what he described as key achievements of the Mbah administration within its first three years, including the Smart Schools initiative, Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centres, road infrastructure, security reforms, support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and efforts to attract investments to the state.

“His Excellency has started well. Let him finish well. Enugu must move forward,” the PMCG Director-General said, adding that the group would continue to highlight the administration’s achievements, address what it considers misinformation and mobilise support for the Governor ahead of the 2027 elections.

He appealed to the APC leadership to provide the group with guidance, counsel and partnership, stressing that cooperation among stakeholders would be critical to maintaining peace and stability in the state as political activities intensify.

Responding, the Enugu State APC Chairman, Dr. Chukwunwike Martin, who was accompanied by his deputy and state secretary, commended PMCG for identifying with the Governor’s achievements and assured the group of the party’s support.

The APC chairman further pledged that the party would continue to work with PMCG and other duly registered support groups in the state in their efforts to mobilise support for the successful re-election of Governor Mbah.

Earlier, the PMCG delegation had paid a courtesy visit to the APC State Secretary, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, who congratulated the group on its establishment and commended its commitment to supporting the Governor’s administration. He also assured the group of the party’s cooperation and support in its mobilisation activities across the state.

The visit was attended by several PMCG coordinators and officials, including Eze Ifeanyi (Santos), Coordinator, Igboeze North; Ekwedigwe Christopher, Coordinator, Umulokpa Ward; Hon.
