The delegation was led by the State Coordinator of the movement and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development and Mobilisation, Hon. Peter Chime (Peter Cash), alongside the Enugu North Zonal Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Chukwuemeka Amos.
They arrived at the university in large numbers, creating an atmosphere of excitement and celebration as they joined government officials, academics, students, traditional rulers and other dignitaries for the landmark academic event.
Demonstrating its formidable grassroots structure, the youth movement, which has a strong presence across the six Local Government Areas and more than 102 political wards in Enugu North Senatorial District, marched through the university campus with live musical bands, colourful cultural displays and energetic youth dancers.
The procession attracted widespread attention from members of the university community and visitors, adding colour and vibrancy to the occasion.
Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, who was the guest lecturer, delivered the University's 55th Inaugural Lecture on the theme: "Restoring the Dignity of Man: Enugu's Quantum Leap in Human Development and Inclusive Prosperity through Experiential Learning."
In his thought-provoking lecture, Governor Mbah articulated his administration's vision of repositioning education as the foundation for sustainable human capital development, inclusive economic growth and shared prosperity.
He emphasized the transformative role of experiential learning in equipping young people with practical skills, fostering innovation and preparing them to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global economy.
The event drew an impressive gathering of government functionaries, members of the diplomatic and academic communities, traditional rulers, political leaders, captains of industry, students and supporters from across Enugu State and beyond, underscoring the significance of the occasion and the widespread interest in the governor's education-driven development agenda.
The presence of the Tomorrow Is Here Renewed Hope Youth Movement further reaffirmed the group's unwavering commitment to mobilising grassroots support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while championing Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah's vision for sustainable development, youth empowerment and transformational governance in Enugu State.
