The member representing Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chidi Mark Obetta, has sponsored the installation of a 500KVA transformer at Akpotoro, Obimo, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The project is expected to improve electricity supply in Akpotoro and adjoining communities, while addressing some of the power challenges faced by residents in the area.
The installation is part of several interventions attributed to the federal lawmaker across communities in Nsukka and Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency since he assumed office.
The latest intervention, according to community stakeholders, is aimed at providing a practical response to the electricity needs of the people and improving economic and social activities in the area.
The provision of the transformer is also expected to support households, businesses and other community activities that depend on regular electricity supply.
Obetta has, in recent times, embarked on various community-based interventions across the constituency, with emphasis on projects considered to have direct impact on the lives of his constituents.
The installation of the 500KVA transformer further adds to the list of projects being executed through his constituency interventions as he continues to engage communities on their infrastructure and development needs.
