The association of Uzo Uwani people in Diaspora, popularly known as "Njikota Uzo Uwani in Diaspora", has endorsed Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu, Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State for a second term in office.
The group which also resolved to form stronger and strategic alliance with the council boss during his second coming as council chairman, especially in the area of security, explained that the council Chairman remains the best choice to superintendend over the affairs of the LGA at this particular point time.
Speaking to Enugupress.ng, the association's Public relations officer, David Gerald, used the opportunity to urge all stakeholders across the LGA to rally round the council chairman in order to depeen the gains of his administration as well as ensure other developments.
His words: "Our Association recently held a summit, and it attracted all the elites here in Diaspora, scholars from academia, traditional and religious leaders, civil society organisations, women and youth groups, students, faith-based organisations, in the diaspora.
"As an association, we are praying and asking His Excellency to return Barr. Ezugwu for a better and stronger Uzo Uwani LGA.
"We have also resolved to form stronger and strategic alliance with the council boss during his second coming as council chairman, especially in the area of security.
"The council Chairman remains the best choice to superintendend over the affairs of the LGA at this particular point time so nobody should contemplate his removal, he said.
