The Chairman of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu (Igwe Ogadagidi), has congratulated the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her birthday.
The monarch, in a statement issued on Monday in Enugu, described the First Lady as a social crusader, philanthropist and advocate for the downtrodden.
Igwe Asadu commended Senator Tinubu for her compassion and commitment to improving the well-being of families, women, children and vulnerable members of society through her various humanitarian and social initiatives.
“On behalf of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, I heartily felicitate with Your Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Ugosimba 1 of Enugu State on the occasion of your birthday.
“Your Excellency, your life of service, compassion and commitment to the well-being of families, women, children and vulnerable members of society continues to inspire many Nigerians.
“Through your various humanitarian and social initiatives, you have demonstrated a deep concern for the welfare and development of our people,” the monarch said.
Igwe Asadu, who is also the traditional ruler of Edem-Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, and immediate past Chairman of the Southeast Council of Traditional Rulers, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Council of Traditional Leaders of Africa (Nigeria Chapter), prayed for continued divine strength and wisdom for the First Lady in her service to the nation and humanity.
“As you celebrate another year, we thank Almighty God for His grace upon your life and for the strength and wisdom He has continued to grant you in your service to our dear nation and humanity.
“We pray that God will continue to strengthen, guide and bless you with many more years in good health and fulfilment,” the Royal Father prayed.
