According to Prince Ani, Dr. Odo has what it takes to earn recognition as their Patron, recalling that the college provost, Ikwuegbu was in the past decorated as the Mandate Award Patroness, emphasizing that both the Provost and the deputy were working for the well-being of the college and the people around them.
"They deserve our award because they render selfless services to humanity", he said.

"We have been hearing about the exploits of Dr. Sam Odo as a workaholic person and the strength of the Provost. We don't give awards to individuals anyhow but for people who have distinguished themselves in various ways of human endeavors like him.
We are aware of his unalloyed support to the Provost, Prof. (Mrs.) Ikwuegbu who, without doubt has done the unimaginable in the provisions of infrastructural facilities, human capacity building in the college and promoting community relationships. They are all visible and verifiable.
We have therefore come here to identify with him, appreciate his efforts, and exemplary leadership in this great college", he said.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Odo said he was overwhelmed with joy for the honour bestowed on him by the group and pledged that the college would collaborate with them to offer assistance where necessary.
"I am appreciative of this award and I want to assure you that we are going to partner with your organization in the areas of common interests. Already we have started that, especially as it concerns allowing you to hold meetings in the college, among others.
My concern is always to ensure that things move well and that is why I have been working closely with the Provost.
She is unrelenting in making our college the best among the equals. This is why her administration's giant strides are in every nook and cranny of this college. I really thank God for giving the College such an innovative and resilient Provost , as I also thank her for the confidence she has in me," he said.
