The Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA, Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu, on 19th August, 2025, approved the appointment of a former House of representatives Aspirant for Uzo Uwani/Igboetiti Federal Constituency, Hon. Stephen Onyekachi Okenwa as Senior Special Assistant on Inter-Party Affairs.
Hon. Okenwa who holds Bachelor of Engineering from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUTEC, Enugu, had aspired to represent Uzo-Uwani/Igboetiti Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representative in 2019, under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He had also, earlier before then, under the same banner of the APC, aspired to represent Uzo Uwani LGA in the Enugu State House of Assembly in 2011, 2015 and 2023 respectively.
Hon. Okenwa is expected to bring in his wealth of experience in Inter-Party Affairs, management and planning to bear in the coordination of activities of the Local Government Chairman's office.
