...As SPA Anioma Describes Massive turnout Of party Faithfuls as Confirmation that Ezugwu is doing remarkably well.
In a massive show of solidarity, the people of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, on Saturday, 12th of July, 2025, turned out in large numbers for the monthly meeting of the peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which was held at Nkpologu, Adada Development Area of the LGA.
The party leadership expressed unalloyed loyalty, commitment and dedication to the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Executive Governor of Enugu State, while also, lauding the developmental strides of the Executive Chairman of the local government Area, Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu.
The event witnessed the presence of key political figures including the Executive Chairman of Uzo-Uwani, Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu, the Special Political Adviser (SPA) to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Frank Anioma, members of the State Working Committee, Zonal Party Monitors, and several local stakeholders, led by the secretary of the state PDP, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie.
Speaking at the event, the SPA expressed gratitude to the people of Uzo-Uwani for their relentless support during the last gubernatorial election and for their continued backing of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration. He assured them that the ongoing political tension at the National level of the party would not distract the Enugu State government from delivering on its promises.
“Uzo-Uwani has stood with us since 1999. We are confident that you will not be swayed by national political distractions or other issues making the rounds.
"From the joy I see on your faces and the massive turnout here today, it is clear that your Chairman is doing remarkably well.
“The impact of Governor Mbah’s administration is evident across Uzo-Uwani, especially with the construction of the 265 smart schools. These are visible signs that this government is working.”
The SPA was however, also presented with a document signed by Uzo-Uwani indigenes, passing a vote of confidence on both the administration of Governor Mbah and the leadership of the local government chairman, Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu. The letter conveying this vote of confidence was presented by the PDP local Government Chairman,Hon.Kingsley Ani, who appreciated the Chairman for his achievements in less one year in office.
In his remarks, Barr. Ezugwu thanked Governor Mbah for creating the enabling environment that has allowed his administration to perform effectively. He pledged to remain committed to protecting lives and property in the local government and to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Uzo-Uwani.
“I want to sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Barr. Peter Mbah, for giving me the opportunity to serve and for providing the support needed to reach our people. I remain committed to ensuring that Uzo-Uwani enjoys peace, security, and sustainable development,” Ezugwu said.
Those who joined the chairman to address the party Faithfuls on the need to remain loyal and faithful to the party include the immediate past Chairman of Uzo-uwani LGA, Hon.Celestine Nnadozie, Dr.Cornel Onwubuya, Hon.Maxwell Okoro among others.
