A Lagos-based businessman, Mr. Pius Okechukwu, has commended the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for the peaceful and successful conduct of the recent local government elections across the state.
Okechukwu described the elections as a smooth and peaceful exercise, attributing the atmosphere to what he described as the governor’s achievements and leadership style. He also expressed the view that the governor’s 2027 reelection campaign would be less difficult, citing the administration’s performance over the past three years.
The businessman further commended Governor Mbah for what he described as landmark achievements recorded by his administration within three years, noting that the developments across the state had attracted attention beyond Enugu.
He congratulated the newly elected and sworn-in chairmen and councillors across the 17 local government areas of the state, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the electorate through effective leadership and service delivery.
Okechukwu also encouraged the new council leaders to support continuity of the administration’s programmes and policies, while urging them to work toward the governor’s reelection bid in 2027.
According to him, “The Enugu LG election was a smooth ride because of the governor’s great works and achievements. His reelection in 2027 is even going to be easier than the council elections.
“I want to congratulate the Governor for a successful and peaceful LG election and also charge the newly elected council chairmen and their councillors to replicate the governor’s kind gestures towards them by ensuring his reelection.”
