…Attributes his release to interventions by Barr. JMCC Ogbuka
Kelechi Ezema, popularly known as Kelwizzy, was arrested recently after reportedly being abducted by unknown men who later dumped him at the Nsukka Police Station.
He was subsequently taken to Enugu to be charged in court last Monday, with the possibility of being remanded in prison.
However, Kelwizzy did not appear in court that day.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Prince Felix explained that at that point, Barr. Frank Agbowo reached out to his senior colleague, Barr. JMCC Ogbuka, who immediately intervened in the matter.
According to Prince Felix, Barr. Ogbuka contacted the Commissioner of Police, personally narrated Kelwizzy’s ordeal and appealed to the CP to look into the circumstances surrounding his detention.
The Commissioner of Police subsequently called Barr. Ogbuka returned and confirmed that he had ordered Kelwizzy to be brought out of the cell and given access to his phone to contact his surety.
Unfortunately, before the sureties could arrive that evening, the IPO had already left. This ultimately led to Kelwizzy’s release on Tuesday, 11 August.

“For the sake of truth and proper attribution, the record should therefore be clear: the immediate intervention that led to Kelwizzy being brought out of detention and ultimately released was that of Barr. JMCC Ogbuka, following the intervention of Barr. Agbowo.
“This is not to diminish anyone who may have played a role, but it is important that credit is given where it is due and that the public is not misled by inaccurate narratives circulating online.
“Justice must not only be done; the truth about how it was achieved must also be told,” Hon. Prince Felix said.
Recently, Kelwizzy had been using his social media platforms to post videos and draw attention to the poor state of roads in Nsukka, among other issues affecting the community.
