The Austrian Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Peter Guschelbauer, has paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Kingsley Udeh (SAN), at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
Discussions during the visit focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Austria in science, technology, and innovation. Key areas of engagement included research and development (R&D), digital transformation, renewable energy, skills development, and industrial technology.
The talks were held in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which places strong emphasis on innovation-led growth, industrial development, and sustainable economic transformation.
According to an official statement released by the Ministry, both sides expressed commitment to translating the discussions into concrete and mutually beneficial partnerships capable of accelerating technological advancement, building human capacity, and fostering sustainable development outcomes.
The visit highlights the growing Nigeria–Austria partnership and shared interest in leveraging innovation and technology to drive long-term economic growth and development.
