The Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu,Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu, has commenced drilling of Modern boreholes in all the green smart schools across the rural council.
This, according to the council chairman is in line with the vision of His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu state, to migrate Enugu State primary and secondary schools to digitization.
The Council Chairman also released five million naira each to the 16 political Wards of the LGA, to ensure speedy fencing of the landmark initiative of the Governor.
Other approvals by the LG boss are listed below.
*•Releases 5000,000 naira each to political Wards for speedy fencing of 16 Smart schools.*
*•Directs Councilors, LG Excos in each ward to form committees and ensure one week completion of fencing projects.*
*•Gives Smart Schools' contractors one week ultimatum to complete all remaining works at project sites.*
