Earlier today, the Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu, ensured late Anthony Chigbo, was given Befitting burial at the politician's countryhome in Uvuru-agada.
The Council Boss who was accompanied by the first lady of the local government, Mrs. Chijioke Evelyn Kelechi and the Executive chairman of Igboeze South LGA, Barr. Ugoferdinand, attended the rites of the late Chigbo in the company of other top Stakeholders from the LGA such as the vice chairman of the council, lady Vera Ezugwu; Chief of Staff to the Chairman,Hon.Engr Orokoh Emeka, PDP chairman of the LGA, Hon. Kingsley Ani; former Chairmen of the LGA, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie and Dr .Cornel onwubunya; Former commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Mathew Idu; Former House of Reps Member, Dr. Romanus Ezike and former chairmen of the PDP, Hon. Jude Okonkwo and chief Albert Eze.
The entourage of the council boss who joined in honoring late Anthony Chigbo who was former LG Chairman and former House of Assembly member in the council include Sir, vitalis Okonkwo, the newly appointed Enugu State Head of service, Dr. Godwin Anigbo Mni; former caretaker chairman of the LGA, Chief Richard Egwuma; Barr. Chukwudi Amah, PastoRex Nnadi, SPA Political,Hon.Felix N.Ozota,Administrators of the four development centers, all the Councilors from the sixteen council wards, all the political appointees, Former SSA to the governor, Hon.Barr.Vincent Diugwu; Secretary of the LGA, Hon.Casmir Ademu Esq,top LG party Excos, Hon. Mrs. Grace Ugwuoke, etcetera.
Others who joined in paying last respect to Late Chigbo include former ENSIEC Chairman, Dr. Mike Ajogwu, SAN; Senator Okey Ezea, Senator Chuka Utazi, former Council Chairmen, Barr. Fidelis Ani and chief DNK Okwelli; Member local government civil service commission, Dr. Barth Ezugwu; member representing Uzo Uwani Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Ekwueme who was accompanied by his colleague, Hon. Solomon izuchukwu Onah, Representing Udenu Constituency and other members of the house.
Recall that Ezugwu, had penultimate month, constituted several committees, saddled with the responsibility of ensuring deserving burial for the late politician.
The council boss had in like manner, led a high profile delegation of the LGA on a Condolence Visit to the family of late Anthony Chigbo, in his Enugu residence, while assuring them that the council will do everything possible to ensure deserving burial for the patriarch.
High point of the event was refreshments with drinks and varieties of food, delivered by the council chairman, as well as presentation of financial support to the family by Barr. Ezugwu.
