The Executive Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Eric Odo has approved the appointment of Hon. Chineme Enyiduru as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment to the council chairman.
Enyiduru, is a seasoned actor, author, publisher, master of ceremony, Coordinator, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Nsukka Satellite Zone, among others.
The appointment was contained in a letter addressed to Enyiduru written and signed by Hon James Akadu, Secretary to the Igbo-Etiti LG.
The letter reads in part "I am pleased to inform you that the Executive Chairman of Igbo-Ekiti Local Government Council has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the chairman on Culture, Tourism and Entertainment."
In his acceptance speech and appreciation to the council chairman, Enyiduru described the appointment as a dream and pledged to add value to the administration as well as to make the appointment a success.
"It's still like a dream to me. I'm grateful to my Boss, Executive Chairman Igbo Etiti LGA, Dr Eric Odo, for this honour. As the proverb goes, 'He who sends a child to catch 'nkapi' should give him water to wash his hand.' I trust that my Boss will provide me with what I need to succeed.
"This role as SSA on Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment will be challenging, stressful, and time-consuming, but I'm ready.
"I'll give my best, leveraging my experience as a former lawmaker in Igbo Etiti LGA. I know the people love culture, tourism, and entertainment, and I'll deliver competence, dedication, and positive results.
"With God on my side and my family's support, I'll make this appointment a success. Thank you, Sir, for trusting me with this responsibility. You've thrown the bone to the dogs; I'll make sure it ends well," he said.
