The Senate Minority Whip and Senator Representing Enugu West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Engr. Osita Ngwu, on 28th December, 2024, led his senatorial district in an annual walkout event, helt in the zone.
The annual walkout which started at exactly 6:am, was a 15km exercise, principally organized to promote physical well-being of the people of the senatorial zone, as well as strengthen their peaceful and harmonious co-existence.
“This walk-out is more than just a fitness exercise; it’s a symbol of our shared commitment to wellness, unity and progress", Sen. Ngwu said.
Enugupress.ng reports that Participants at the annual event, which numbered up to 1,500, had expressed their appreciation for the Lawmaker's leadership and vision in the zone, while highlighting how the event has grown over the years, becoming a cherished tradition that brings people together during the festive season.
"This walk-out reminds us that we are stronger when we come together as a community," said one of the participants.
Meanwhile, the annual walk-out event is part of a broader effort by Senator Ngwu to prioritize the well-being of his constituents.
