The Elders and indigenes of Akutala Village, in Adani Community of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, on 16th of December, 2024, presented Okenyi James Obiefuna as Candidate of the village for the upcoming President's General Election in the community, come 26th December, 2024.
The village elders had explained that Okenyi James Obiefuna's commitment to upholding the values of integrity, transparency and accountability, will catalyze into effective leadership and community development.
This was contained In a letter addressed to the chairman of Adani Town Union, Enugu branch and was signed by Chief John Ogbo, Onyishi Akutala; Chief Anthony Ikowa, Attama Nnadi Adani; Chief Anene Idu, Onyishi Amuvuru; Chief Peter Okenyi, Onyishi Umuota and Hon. Idu Gregory, Chairman Akutala Land Committee.
Enugupress.ng reports that the village elders further requested that the Town Union "formally validate and cement the village mandate in order to ensure its legitimacy and authority."

"CONSOLIDATED MANDATE ON OKENYI JAMES OBIEFUNA AS PRESIDENT GENERAL OF ADANI TOWN UNION.
"This is to formally confer our consolidated mandate on Okenyi, James Obiefuna as President General of Adani Town Union, as unanimously agreed upon by the Council of Elders and Citizens of Akutala Village Adani.
"By accepting this mandate, Okenyi James Obiefuna has pledged to uphold the values of integrity, transparency and accountability, which are essential for effective leadership and community development.
"We would be grateful if you could formally validate and cement this mandate, ensuring its legitimacy and authority.
