Saturday 17th December, 2022 marked a difference in youth empowerment thanks to
the initiative of United States-based Imo State Labour Party chieftain, Dr. Libo Agwara.
At the event tagged "Obi-Datti Youths Appreciation Day which took place at The Place Events Centre in New Owerri, capital of Imo State, Agwara who donated the three storey Agwara Plaza at 115 Wetheral Road, Owerri to the party, donated five million naira after the State Youth Leader, Comr. Chris Okorondu, appealed for assistance in his welcome address, saying, "for every nation on earth, there comes a time when it is necessary on the part of the youths to stand without fear of intimidation, but faith, hope and vision to liberate a people and chart a new course"
Harping on the need for the youths of Nigeria to stop being the leaders of tomorrow but today by taking back their country from bad leaders, Agwara called on the candidates of the party to join hands in giving the youths the needed support to realize a better Nigeria by removing bad leaders via the democratic process of electing competent leaders.
On his part, State Chairman of the party, Dr. Ambrose Onyekwere, thanked Agwara for his continued support for the party.
In an interview with pressmen shortly after the event, Agwara revealed that he is doing what he can to ensure that the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Sir Peter Obi, emerges as Nigeria's next president.
