The Chairman of the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, Igwe Ogadagidi, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election.
Tinubu secured 10,999,162 votes in the APC nationwide primary election, defeating his sole challenger, Stanley Osifo, who polled 16,503 votes.
In his congratulatory message, Igwe Asadu said the outcome reflects the overwhelming confidence millions of Nigerians and party faithful have in the President’s leadership.
He noted that many Nigerians are pleased with Tinubu’s reform agenda and his continued efforts to stabilize the economy, improve infrastructure, and reposition the country for sustainable growth despite prevailing economic and social challenges.
The monarch also acknowledged the support of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Ugosimba 1 of Enugu State, and urged Nigerians to back the administration’s push for economic stabilization.
“On behalf of my wife, Her Royal Majesty Lolo Happiness Eberechukwu Asadu, Akudo 1 of Edem Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom, and the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, I extend my warmest congratulations to His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, on winning the APC Presidential ticket,” Igwe Asadu said.
“This is a well-deserved victory and a victory for every well-meaning Nigerian who believes in progress, unity, and the continued development of our country.”
He commended the First Lady for her support of the administration and her social interventions for vulnerable Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Initiative.
“We cherish all she is doing for humanity through the Renewed Hope Initiative, which complements the administration’s agenda by championing women’s empowerment, educational development, and food outreach programs for vulnerable Nigerians,” he added.
Igwe Asadu, the immediate past Chairman of the South East Traditional Rulers Council and traditional ruler of Edem-Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom in Nsukka LGA, called on Nigerians to continue praying for and supporting the Tinubu administration to deliver more democratic dividends and strengthen the economy.
