The Enugu state Minority Whip and member representing Uzo Uwani State constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Martins Ekwueme, on Thursday, 17th of August, 2023, emerged Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts & Anti-Corruption.
Hon. Ekwueme was aslo named Vice Chairman House Committee on Local Government Matters, Inter-Parliamentary Activities and Enugu State Independent Electoral commission, ENSIEC.
The Lawmaker's Personal Assistant, Joseph Idu, announced the appointments on Ekwueme's facebook page.
According to Idu: "Hon. Ekwueme's appointment as Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts & Anti-Corruption and also Vice Chairman House Committee on Local Government, Inter-Parliamentary and ENSIEC, is a testament of God's grace and favour.
"This appointment is also in recognition of his experience, expertise, and dedication to public service.
"I have no doubt his vast knowledge and understanding of public financial management, governance and his stance on total eradication of corrupt practices, played crucial roles in ensuring he clinched the coveted offices above," he wrote.
Enugupress.ng reports that Hon. Ekwueme was during the last general elections, overwhelmingly elected to represent the good people of Uzo Uwani state constituency of Enugu state.
