The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr Kanayo Uzuegbu; alongside Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Patrick Ubru; on 2nd of March, 2024, joined Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, the Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA, during his Commissioning/handover ceremony of massive Police facility, built by the council chairman at Adani.
The event was also graced by other top dignitaries which include his deputy, Hon. Pius Okeagu; secretary of the LGA, Hon. Michael Anikezie; traditional rulers, PGs, PDP Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA, Hon. Jude Ifeanyi Okonkwo; leader of Uzo Uwani legislative House, Hon. Philip Okoro; education secretary of Uzo Uwani LGA, Chief Peter Egwuatu; former registrar of IMT, Ozor Barth O. Ezea; woman leader of the PDP in Uzo Uwani LGA, Mrs. Benedict Akogu; among others.
Recall that the council chairman, had in a practical demonstration of his dedication and commitment to wrestle insecurity and provide befitting facility for the Nigerian Police, delivered the massive buildings to the agency at Adani, in Uzo Uwani LGA.
The new police buildings include the Administrative & Residential Buildings of 8 flats with massive Fencing. The structure also, houses a brand new borehole which will serve as source of water to the security agents at the division.
In his remarks during the event, the police commissioner praised the Council chairman's investment in security, while describing the facility as largest in the state.
"This is the largest police division I have ever visited since my deployment to Enugu. I must commend the chairman for this huge efforts"; he said.
Meanwhile the council Chairman had also, during the function, donated four patrol vehicles to the neighborhood watch, in order to enhance their services across the LGA.
