NIGERIA @ 63: Enugu ALGON Salutes Nigerians, Prays for Country


The Association Of local Government Chairmen of Nigeria, ALGON (Enugu State Chapter), has congratulated Nigerians for keeping faith with the country at its 63rd year anniversary. 

The Association also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, all elected LG Chairmen of Enugu State and all Enugu People for their contributions in helping the country survive its past challenges.

The Association in a statement authored by its chairman, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, and released to by the group's media office, however, prayed for the country to survive its present challenges, ranging from political, social and economic difficulties.

"Attaining 63 in the life of any country anywhere in the world is a milestone. 

"On behalf of Enugu ALGON, I want to commend Nigerians for their faith, love, patience and contributions in attaining this height. 

"I also wish to use this medium to salute  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Our own amiable Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah in working tirelessly to sustain democracy in the country. 

"In the same vein, I also want to Congratulate all our members in Enugu state and of course, all Enugu people for their contributions thus far.

"It is our earnest prayer that God heal Nigeria from all its present challenges, both socially, economically and politically," the statement read.
