The Gburugburu Free Medical Surgery, on 24th of September, 2023, carried out free medical surgery on six indigent persons who thronged the medical facility, located along Edem road, in Nsukka LGA of Enugu State.
According to the medical Director of the team, Dr. George Ajogwu, who spoke to Enugupress.ng shortly after the medical operation, he explained that the seven beneficiaries of the Ex-Governor's Initiative include Joy Ochi with Umbilical Hernia and Herniorrhaphy, Obetta Augustina with Breast Lump and Lumpectomy, Ochi Virginia with right femoral Hernia, Herniorrhaphy and also Okoye Mary with dight Femoral hernia and Right inguinal hernia and herniorrhaphy.
Others were Ogochi Enejere with uterine fibroid, retained placenta and myomectomy, Obinna Udemgba with right Hydrocoele of the cord, Herniotomy, Herniorrhaphy, Orchidopexy and Okweli Eucharia with Appendicitis and Appendectomy.
The free medical program was however, initiated over one year ago, and has carried out free medical surgery on over 1,300 indigent members of the society.
Recall that the free medical Team had also, while celebrating the victory of his Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah at the Enugu state Governorship Elections petition Tribunal, declared two weeks free daily Medical Surgery.
