A former senior special Assistant to Enugu's Ex-Governor, Dr. Chukwuemeka Asogwa, on 3rd of August, 2023, offered scholarships to about 10 students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
The scholarships would be funded by the former SSA's 'wisdom foundation.'
Dr. Asogwa who made the disclosure during an event organized by the faculty of education at the University's premises, on 3rd of August 2023, was also presented with award of honor by the Dean of the faculty, Professor Omeje..
Addressing the staff and students of the institution, Dr. Asogwa herped on the need for them to learn Digital Skills.
The former governor's aide who expressed worries over the rate of unemployment among graduates in the country, encouraged them at the event "to learn the Peterism Digital skills".
He however, highlited that the skill was further referred to as 'Digital Japa' by the Enugu State governor, during his inaugural speech.
Taking to his verified Facebook account after the program, Dr. Asogwa wrote:
"Back from UNN. It was an amazing opportunity today for me to address the University of Nigeria Nsukka staff and students on the need for Digital Skills as I received Award from the Faculty of Education, UNN, presented by Dean of the Faculty, Professor Omeje.
"Wisdom Foundation also offered Scholarships to 10 UNN students and encouraged them to learn the Peterism Digital skills that the Enugu State Governor referred to as Digital Japa in his inaugural speech as certificate is no longer enough.
"I am also worried about the future of our teeming young people who are graduating yearly from universities without hope of getting job opportunities.
"Many of the students also indicated interest to learn Digital skills from The Peterism Movement," he concluded.
