It was a day to remember for the parents and family of Ms Peace Ugwuoke, an 18 year old girl who was saved from ruptured appendix by a combined team of medical personnel, led by Dr. George Ajogwu, director of Gburugburu Free Medical Surgery.
The free medical team had on the 24th of July, 2023, carried out exploratory laparotomy on Ms Peace who hails from Abbi in Uzo Uwani local government area of Enugu State, to save the young lad from a life-threatening health situation.
Speaking in a video which has gone viral since after the successful free medical surgery was carried out on his daughter, Mr. Eze Nwaeligbo, father of the now recuperating young girl, thanked Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for carrying out free medical surgery on Indigent people across Enugu North Senatorial zone.
He also prayed to God to continue to bless the medical team for saving the life of her daughter, Ms. Peace Ugwuoke.
His words: "I am eternally grateful to God for using Gburugburu Free Medical Surgery to save my daughter. I thank the former governor and pray that the Almighty God continue blessing him for us.
"I equally pray for Dr. George Ajogwu and his team. May the almighty God continue to bless all of you. Amen;" he prayed.
Meanwhile, the girl brings the number of beneficiaries of the free medical program to 1322.
