Former National Chairman of Young Democratic Party, YDP Arc Otuekong Ezekiel Nya-Etok has joined the race to succeed governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State on the platform of African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok who is also the convener of Nigeria First Project during his official declaration recently said, the ADC offers him and other like-minded patriots, the platform and opportunity of reviewing the relationship between Government and the people by implementing the Social Governance strategy where human capacity development and poverty alleviation will be the primary objective of an ADC led administration.
He berated his former party, the PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress APC for not offering Nigerians the needed hope, insisting that both parties are one and same in ideology.
He said the PDP and APC have derailed from the vision of building the Nigerian dream, explaining that, only politicians who view Government as a platform to impact on lives and positively improve their society rather than as a means to amass wealth and fame can change the current narrative of misgovernance or outright bad governance bedeviling the nation.
Nya-Etok, a political and social crusader is world famous for his successful implementation of social housing programme.
He charged all Nigerians who wish to see real and positive changes to join the ADC, so that, the goal of redeeming the nation can be accomplished.
He advised Nigerians to collectively wake up from their slumber and find a way of redressing that trend, stating, "that is uncompromising belief and all I stand for".
He noted that he wields the integrity to deliver effective service to the people of Akwa Ibom State, seeking their support.
